Another great Mike Reardon read by Martin.This one starts with Mike getting a call from an old client. A client who still owes him money. Hell. Mike landed in jail because of her. Seems someone is taking shots at her condo.
At the time Mike knew her she was an up and coming country western singer. Tammy Houston is her name and she's now a famous country western singer who rakes in the money.
On arrival at her condo Mike meets her so called security and her sleazeball manager Emory Coogan. The manager wants Mike gone.
The police are also on site and the lead detective in the case warns Mike to stay out of the investigation.
Mike contacts Pax Weatherwax, his best friend and former teammate in the Marine Force Recon unit they both served in during their time in the sandbox. Pax is a guy Mike would fall on a grenade for and vice versa.
Pax is his go to guy for info as he owns his own company. An internet service provider.
Pax has offices in six cities and is doing quite well for himself in his life after Marine Force Recon. He provides intel for Mike thats probably just short of what the NSA could procure. Pax is very, very good at what he does.
Pax has also partnered with Mike on many of his retrieval jobs. He's an expert with a sniper rifle and one good man to have guarding your back.
Pax's employee Sol, tells Mike that the sleazeball manager Coogan is hip deep in gambling debts.
Coogan borrowed money from Sammy Castiano after Tammy Houston turned him down. Castiano is a constractor and road builder. Coogan borrowed a million dollars from Castiano.
A Castiano who's in deep debt to the Albanian mob. Seems the Albanians believe that the multi millionaire Tammy Houston can be coerced into settling the debts.
Mike knows he's going to need help so he contacts Skip Allen, his 6'5" Marine Force Recon buddy who served in the same unit as Reardon and Pax. Skip is a friend to both. The Viking as Mike calls Skip is on his way.
The Albanians kidnap Tammy and Mrs. Castiano.
So begins another fine read by Martin. This one leaves you hanging so I know another is on the way.
This one has Mike, Pax, Skip, Sol, a lady named Tyler, an explosion at the home of Sammy Castiano, an explosion at Pax's headquarters, the death of some of his employees, a Pax who's badly injured and in the hospital, a winery, the rescue of the ladies, the taking of millions belonging to the Albanians, death, destruction and Mike and Skip on the road to revenge.
Five Stars and then some.

I read this book all in one sit. The author has a very unique writing style that works for me. The story itself was very fascinating and interesting to read along. I recommend this book by LJ Martin and his other great books. It's absolutely worth reading if you're looking for this type of fiction book.
This book has been a great adventure, as it takes you on a interesting journey!!!! Through desert and city alike. The preparing for a great fight for payback is awesome!!! I will recommend this book,as this book is great!!!!!!!!
A fascinating read
Wow, this book is so captivating, once you start reading, you can’t put it down. It gave me an adrenaline rush very often, this book has some nerve wrecking action. It will compel you to finish it in one sitting.
I recommend this book to all the action junkies, it isn’t for the faint hearted. Another great read by Martin.
Mike Reardon a tough love rustic and handsome man determined to get the job done every time. This guy lives for the thrill of it all.
Somehow Mike finds himself paid to protect a drop dead gorgeous country western singer that happens to disappear before he gets the chance to save her!
Martin has a writing style about him that draws you in and always leaves you wanting more.
If you're looking for some sexy rough action adventure-you've found it!
I usually don't read Private Investigator stories because they all seem to be similar and easy to predict. Well, Mike Reardon, the character in this story, is not really a PI; he's more like an alpha male problem-solver. He makes mistakes, but he's hot and tough and has trustworthy friends who have all sorts of skills. He finishes what he is hired for and if some bad guys get hurt in the process, oh well! "Target Shy & Sexy" is enjoyable, not predictable, but a little bit lacking in character development.
Don't read this if you want to relax right now, because Mike Reardon and a few of his ex-marine buddies will have you on the edge of your seat until you get to the end. This is one of L.J. Martin's latest "Repairman Series" thrillers that earns my "Couldn't put it down" award. It is exciting and detailed to the point that you feel that you are with Mike, as he travels around several states and interfaces with Organized Crime, Federal and Local Police to solve a friends problems. You won't be bored. You will be enlightened, and you will want more L.J. Martin reading material.
Mr. Martin has crafted another fantastic Reardon epic. Kidnappings, bombings, shoot-outs galore, millions of bucks, and the Albanians, make this an explosive book in the Repairman series. Reardon again is working in the gray area of justice to save his client and take vengeance on the people who killed his friends and bombed his BFF’s place of business. This one’s all about retribution and there’s more to come.
