I just finished the book and I have a huge goofy grin on my face from that marvelous HEA ending!!! The entire book was terrific with its well thought out characters who all had strong, clearly defined personality traits, even the minor ones. The imagery was exceptionally well done and the dialogue was excellent and really showed the developing relationships both between the characters and Jaclyn's own personal growth. I also want to make a point to mention that the editing was also top-notch and it's such a pleasure when there aren't interruptions to interfere with my enjoyment of reading a good story and in the case there wasn't a single one!! The author's writing style was smooth and flowing from beginning to end and is just one of the many reasons why I recommend that if you enjoy your love stories when they are well-written, a little quirky, totally original and totally great that you buy it ASAP! I really liked most of the characters. However, I feel like the book would have benefited from a few more chapters so the characters' relationships could have developed more fully. I don't feel like we really learned enough about ANY of the characters =/
I enjoyed reading the book, but when it was over, I was left feeling a bit disappointed and unsatisfied. It felt unfinished (This would be great if it were just... the first in a series)
Love a good ghost story? This should do it! I actually liked this better than I thought I would. Had a fairly good ghostly story to it, add a bit of mystery, and Bam! I just wished it would have ended a bit differently...or at least showed a bit more of the ghosts left behind, and what happened after. Don't want to give any more spoilers, so I will stop there.
This story is about a model named Jaclyn that is murdered. With very little time Jaclyn and other ghost try to find out who murdered her. She also meets up with a real live photographer that with her own struggles tries to help her. This book is full of ghost and twist and turns. It will keep you wondering who killed Jaclyn to the end. I like the characters in this book. The mystery between the ghost and who killed Jaclyn had me wondering what was going to happen next. I couldn't put this book down.

My favorite reading is paranormal mystery, suspense. I do not care much for heavy romance in a mystery and this book had the right amount and did not overdo it. I enjoyed this book immensely. I love the author's style, characters, and depth. This book gives food for thought regarding our personal beliefs and fears regarding what happens after we die and leave our physical bodies for the unknown. I personally agree with much the author suggests regarding the weighing and measuring of our soul's growth and being 'welcomed' into Heaven. If you are looking for an 'easy-read', comfortable, laid-back story that keeps you reading, laughing, cheerleading for the undead....this book is for you. I read this in a day and was sorry when the book ended. Some books keep your emotional volume high, this did not, but I enjoyed every word and highly recommend this to those who enjoy paranormal and have belief systems toward more 'new age' concepts.
I read this book in 24 hours. It was one of the free books offered by so I thought I would give it a chance. Mysteries are my favorite and throw a little paranormal in the mix and it makes for an interesting read. The author put a lot of thought into the personalities of the characters. I understood who all the characters were and their place in the story.
I will say that Jaclyn was hard to feel sorry for. I don't begrudge anyone getting into Heaven, but I can see why she did not make it the first go around. I stuck with this story because I liked the depth of Logan and Morgan's characters. I felt sorry for both of them as both have been all to familiar with isolation most of their lives. These two characters brought much needed warmth to the story.
I got a kick out of the old couple, Herman and June, helping the two ghosts. What an adventure they had! I will always wonder if they made it back home safely.
It would be nice to see a sequel. And it would be nice to see Morgan helping her detective boyfriend on cases.
If you are looking for a mystery, paranormal, romance - then this is your book. Enjoy a quick get away and relax. I also appreciate the fact that this book had a clean story line and was not trashy. I think this would appeal to young adults as well. Kudos to the author.
Jaclyn's dead, murdered in the prime of her life, at the height of her career, but Jaclyn doesn't want to go to hell, which isn't what you think it is, so Jaclyn has a set amount of time to figure out what she missed in her life that kept her from going straight to heaven.
Along comes Logan a fellow ghost who is dashing and helpful. He lives in Jaclyn's apartment building and is willing to help Jaclyn figure out what went wrong. The best place to start? Find her killer.
Only nothing is as simple as it seems to be. Finding Jaclyn's killer is a complex process that requires creativity on the part of Logan and Jaclyn and the help of a photographer who can hear Jaclyn, Logan and other ghosts.
I really enjoyed the way Ms. Vann approached her story. It was creative and new. Jaclyn's Ghost held my attention from the start and had me rooting for Jaclyn and Logan as they tried to discover what had happened to Jaclyn. Ms. Vann throws several interesting complications into the story line that keep the tension going. The story was well-developed and resonated with me,
